I hurt so much. I went for cardio kickboxing at the gym yesterday and now EVERYWHERE is sore. You know those fast-paced techno tracks you hear at pasar malams which go so fast it's like the DJ's on speed AND red bull? Well now I know where people use them. In the little gym rooms of Pain and Mass Dancing. I had perky little blonde muffin as my aerobics leader, she with the perfectly tan and exfoliated legs, who constantly exhulted and humilated us with her "Come on Guys! You can do better!" and her "Oh man! We can do so much better! Kick it up guys!" that I constantly wanted to check her breakfast morning cereal intake because no one can be that perky at 7 at night! And then there was the class itself, 7 people perfectly swaying to the left to do cross-lunges, swaying to the right to do double hooks and....me. Let's not go there. ;)
The WORST part was when we got out the yoga mats to work on our abs. I sweated and panted and at the last 8 crunches I flopped on my mat and gasped (QUIETLY I THOUGHT) "Mother of God!"
Apparently I wasn't so quiet after all. I cracked the aerobics instructor up and we had to do 10 instead. That's where a sense of humour gets you.
