Fucking hell

So I'm hosting/raising a comedy night to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina. And I'm raising a shitstorm. I just spent two hours with the student newspaper and one of the student society's VPs discussing the whole matter from every angle.

Here's the deal. On one side people don't really feel that there should be a campus-wide effort as 1)the U.S. is rich enough and 2)because they're disgusted with the white-black divide revealed by the whole disaster and feel that the only way to get the U.S to change its policies is to well, make an example and not give to the poor. Because the money is never going to reach them anyway.

My side is YES let's do it because 1)they're our frigging NEIGHBOURS 2)these people need help and NOW and 3)It's a big disaster. These are PEOPLE out there not fucking ideaologies.

So I'm going to do shit. And roll over anyone in my way.
